Story tools

"A good set is one nobody mentions." — Set Dresser Ilaya Ruun

Story tools are what a director uses to turn a stock Jedi Academy map into a scene. Most need community admin, and while somebody is directing, many of them lock to the active director.

  • Building a set: models, lights, effects, sounds, weather, overlays and locks
  • Running a scene: saving and loading scenes, transitions, music and briefings
  • Camera: tracks, waypoints and cinematic playback
  • NPCs: spawning, editing, patrol routes and dialogue
  • Director mode: taking the chair, the director channel, and what locks when you do
  • Points of interest: hidden detail players uncover with the right skill
  • Teleporting and telemarks: moving yourself and other people around

7 of these commands destroy work with no confirmation prompt. They are /prepmap, /scene load, /poi remove all, /npc remove all, /camera removebox all, /remove overlays and /telemark clear. Each page flags its own under Things to note.
