Run a stunt cue sheet
A cue sheet is a plain text file of console commands, one cue to a line, kept in your game's stunts/
folder.
You advance between cues at your own pace from keys you set. A cue can still time several commands inside one press.
Sheets are written by hand. Write a stunt cue sheet covers commands, waits, descriptions, guarded cues and HOLD cues.
You need community admin, and it becomes directors-only the moment anybody starts directing.
In the menus: ESC → Direct → Stunts
Load a sheet
- Select a sheet in the SHEETS list.
- Select LOAD.
The CUES list fills and the first cue becomes the one you are on.
CLEAR unloads the sheet and takes the stunt row off your HUD.
REFRESH re-scans the folder.
Sheets are yours rather than the server's, so another director needs their own copy of the file.
Fire cues from keys
Set the keys for 3 actions yourself on the StoryForce page of the Controls screen:
- Fire Stunt Cue runs the cue you are on, then normally steps to the next one
- Next Cue moves forward without firing anything
- Previous Cue moves back without firing anything
A cue whose line starts with
!is guarded. The first press arms it and a second press within 2 seconds fires it.
A cue marked = stays selected after it fires, so Fire repeats it until you press Next.
The two markers can be combined as != or =!.
Use /stunt dry 1 to rehearse. It walks the sheet normally but prints each command instead of
performing it.
A row on your HUD reads [Stunt 3/10: Zala steps out of the light]. The scoreboard carries a CUES page as well, with fired cues dimmed.
Fix a cue in place
Select a cue in the CUES list. Both fields fill from it, and each has its own SET that writes that field back into the sheet file, leaving the rest of the file alone:
- Cue: is the description, and an empty field clears it
- Command: is what the cue runs, and an empty field is refused rather than clearing it
The description is what the HUD reads out, so a cue without one shows its command instead.
