Write the scene script

One planning document, shared with everyone on your Director Notes channel and read from the scoreboard.

Channel members can read it, but you need director mode to write or clear it.

In the menus: ESC → Direct → Director Notes → SCRIPT

Write the script

The script belongs to the channel rather than to you, so join one first. Only a director can open the editor or change its lines.

  1. Write in the document and watch the counter. Press Enter to start a new line.
  2. Select APPLY.

APPLY saves the whole document.

CLEAR ALL wipes the document and hands the channel's slot back, asking first.

The server can hold sheets for 8 channels at once. If all 8 are in use, clear an old sheet before starting another.

Read the script

Nobody has to open anything. Everyone on the channel is sent the sheet when they join and again every time it changes.

Hold the scoreboard open.

Once the sheet has a line on it, PEOPLE and SCRIPT appear under the board's title.

Use the mouse wheel to switch views. It works even when you bind the wheel to another action.

Keep a script with a scene

A channel's script follows it across a map change. Save a scene while on the channel to keep its whole script.

Loading a scene replaces the whole script on its saved channel. It does not merge old lines or join you to that channel.

The numbered commands edit the first 16 lines separated with Enter. Text wrapping does not start a new line.
