Track mission progress
Show everyone how far a mission has progressed. Use director mode to manage it.
In the menus: ESC → Direct → Scene → CLOCK
Set up the clock
Enter a Title, choose 1 to 8 beats, then select Up or Down. Up shows completed beats. Down shows those remaining.
Valid edits save automatically. CLOSE returns to the scene panel.
There is one shared clock. It counts progress, not seconds.
Change progress
| Control | Result |
|---|---|
| ADVANCE | Complete one more beat |
| BACK | Undo one completed beat |
| RESET | Start again with no beats completed |
| CANCEL | Keep progress and stop ADVANCE and BACK until reset |
| CLEAR | Remove the clock |
To advance from a trigger, choose clock in the cue builder, then advance by one beat. It stores clock 1 advance 1.
Things to note
- Scenes keep the clock. Saving and loading restores its settings and progress.
- A full clock is complete. Use BACK to reopen it or RESET to start again.
Prefer the console?
Press ~ to open the console. These controls succeed silently:
/clock advance [1-8]
/clock reduce [1-8]
/clock correct <completed beats>
/clock reset
/clock cancel
/clock remove
Omitting the amount advances or reduces by one. For example, /clock advance 2 completes 2 more beats.
To create or retitle a clock, read /ui_sf_clock_revision for its current version, then use that number:
/clock set <revision> <1-8> <up|down> "<title>"
On a fresh map at revision 0, /clock set 0 4 down "Evacuate" creates a clock with 4 beats. Success prints nothing.
Next
- set the scene - add a briefing and objectives
