Speak as a myNPC
You type a shortcode at the start of a chat line, and that line goes out under a different name.
In the menus: ESC → Character → myNPC
Set up a persona
The panel holds 3 slots, one to a row.
- Type a shortcode into the first field, after the
/. Letters and numbers only, up to 10 characters. - Type the name other players will read into Display name.
- Leave Language empty to speak basic, or type a language in lower case, such as
huttese. - Select SAVE on that row.
CLR empties the row.
Speak as a persona
Open the chat line, type / and the shortcode, a space, then what the persona says.
/whisper , /shout , /ooc and /me all work inside a persona line, straight after the
shortcode. Each puts the line on that channel under the persona's name rather than yours.
Speak from a world NPC
Give the persona the same display name as a world NPC. If several match, the nearest one to you speaks.
Chat distance and sound come from that NPC. OOC still comes from you.

/mynpc on its own lists all 3 slots. A slot number on its own reads that slot back, and
/mynpc clear 1 empties it.
Everything from the display name onwards is taken as one name, so it can hold spaces.
