Set an NPC's look and behaviour
Pose a standing NPC, cuff it, arm it, and change how it renders.
In the menus: ESC → Design → NPCs → select an NPC → EMOTE
Hanging a model, effect, light or sound on an NPC is an attachment, covered on dress a player or NPC.
Hold an emote
EMOTE opens the same list your own character uses, with PLAY, STOP, CLOSE and HANDCUFF under it.
Select a row, then PLAY. STOP clears the pose. While a pose is held, its name is added to the NPC's roster row.
In Use lists poses held by the scene's NPCs. It updates automatically, beside Favourites and Current.
HANDCUFF toggles. A cuffed NPC has its wrists bound in front of it, nothing in its hands, and holds only seated poses.
Hand out a weapon
WEAPON opens a grid of 16 buttons. Choosing one hands the weapon over and closes the panel. An NPC carries one weapon at a time, and NONE disarms it.
Right-click a supported gun to choose its skin. Selecting the gun normally restores Stock.
Right-click LIGHTSABER, choose hilts and blade colours, then select GIVE. A staff hilt cannot take a second hilt.
Choose a gun skin explains what skins change.
Stage NPC combat covers gunfire, saber attacks and BLADE TOGGLE after you arm the NPC.
Make an NPC a hologram, or cloak it
HOLOGRAM opens 3 mode buttons: SOLID for a steady translucent transmission, DISTORT for one flickering and breaking up, and OFF.
A Strength slider runs from 1 to 5, and a Cloaked tick sits under it. Moving the slider selects DISTORT as well as setting the level. Cloak and hologram cannot both show.
Set a walk style and turn to face
Neither has a verb button. Both sit on the SPAWN NPC form, and the console is the only way to change them afterwards. NPCs take the same 8 walk styles a player gets, listed on change how your character walks.
Turn to face players makes an NPC notice a living, non-spectating player who aims at it from within 150 units. The player can stand on any side of it. A route walker stops walking while it is watched.
Humanoids with head-turn support turn their head before their body. Droids, riders and NPCs with an enemy turn their whole body.

/npc emote [id|targetname|name] <emote|none>
/npc weapon [id|targetname|name] <weapon|none> [skin]
/npc weapon <id> saber [hilt[:colour]] [hilt2[:colour]]
/npc hologram [id|targetname|name] [distort [1-5]|off]
/npc cloak [id|targetname|name] <1|0>
/npc edit [id|targetname|name] walk <style|none>
/npc emote also takes a raw animation name, such as BOTH_GUARD_LOOKAROUND1, and a bare frame
number held as a pose. The weapon names are none, fists, melee, stunbaton, saber,
pistol, bryar, blaster, disruptor, bowcaster, repeater, demp2, flechette,
concussion, rocket, thermal, tripmine and detpack.
For a green Luke hilt, use /npc weapon 4 saber Luke:green. Bare /npc weapon 4 saber restores its own hilts. Both succeed silently outside SYNC NPC groups.
Turn to face players confirms itself:
To change only the held gun's skin, use:
/npc weaponskin [id|targetname|name] <skin|stock>
/npc weaponskin 4 stock
