Check your XP and level
In the menus: ESC → Character → Current
Read the PROGRESSION info
Top right of the Current screen, three lines and a bar:
- Level, with the XP total that produced it in brackets
- Unspent XP: what is left to spend
- Next Level in: the XP still to earn, reading Max level reached at level 30
Where your XP comes from
You start with a creation grant, then receive awards from other members or placed XP pickups.
The server can restrict awarding XP to community admins.
An award can include XP paid now and XP held as a pending claim. A mentored character's payment may also need their mentor's approval.
A negative award takes XP back. It reduces the total and can lower your level and stat caps.
Spend it, and take it back
Force powers and skills draw on one shared pool. A rank bought on one screen is gone from the other.
Two figures decide it: the bought ceiling is every rank you have ever paid for and never falls, and the applied rank is what is live now, moving freely below the ceiling.
Lowering a Force power costs nothing and gives nothing back. Raising it again, up to the ceiling, is free.
A skill rank cannot be lowered by any route.
To work out what a set of ranks costs before you buy any of it, use the character builder.
What your level changes
Level runs from 1 to 30 off your total XP, so spending never costs you a level.
It sets maximum HP, HP regen, maximum Force and Force regen, and gates nothing.
These are the shipped values:
| Level | XP needed | Max HP | Max Force |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 0 | 30 | 50 |
| 5 | 55 | 64 | 79 |
| 10 | 190 | 107 | 114 |
| 15 | 400 | 150 | 150 |
| 20 | 690 | 183 | 183 |
| 25 | 1,055 | 217 | 217 |
| 30 | 1,750 | 250 | 250 |
Conditioning adds its bonus on top of the HP cap. Maximum Force never passes 255. Your server admin can retune every row.
Things to note
- There is no refund and no respec. An extra XP award can cover a mistake, but does not undo the purchase.
- A former member, a community character and a quick extra buy nothing new.
