Learn a skill
Skills use the same XP pool as Force powers. What each skill does explains every rank before you buy.
In the menus: ESC → Character → Current → SKILLS
Buy a rank
- Select the pip for the rank you want.
- Select APPLY.
Switching between Force and Skills keeps your pending choices. APPLY saves both and closes the menus.
Leaving without applying discards both.
A refusal lands on the yellow line above APPLY.

Things to note

- Languages are not bought here.
/character add languagepoints you at staff, or at Diplomacy 3 and Tech 1.
Prefer the console?
Run it bare for all 20 skills with their level, ceiling and next cost:
Name a skill with no level and it reports rather than buys, because a purchase cannot be undone. Add a level and it buys, charging every rank in between:
Names are the lower-case ones in the listing. An exact name wins, and anything shorter has to match one skill only.
