Mark allies and enemies

Marks tell your own Force powers who to help and who to target.

You can hold 8 at once, on living players or NPCs, and need no Force rank to set one.

The shipped main radial menu has a Forcemark slot. Bind Radial Menu 1 if you have not given that wheel a key yet.

Mark someone

  1. Aim at a living player or NPC.
  2. Open the main radial menu and select Forcemark.
  3. Repeat to step that target through ally, enemy, then unmarked.

The message names the target and their new designation. For a fixed choice, use /forcemark ally or /forcemark enemy instead; /forcemark none removes the aimed mark.

Choose who a power reaches

Nine powers read your marks. The effect depends on the rank:

PowerWhat marks change
Push and Pullrank 2 favours one marked enemy. Rank 4 narrows to a 180° sweep when you hold a mark; rank 5 keeps its 360° sweep. Both follow the targeting rule below. Ranks 1 and 3 ignore marks
Force Energy / Lightningrank 2 picks one enemy. Ranks 4 and 5 focus on marked enemies, up to 2 then 4; with no enemy marks, the arc spares marked allies. Ranks 1 and 3 ignore marks
Mind Trickevery rank picks one mark: the one you aim at, otherwise your latest enemy, otherwise your latest mark of either kind
Telekinesisranks 4 and 5 favour marked enemies and spare marked allies. Ranks 1 to 3 ignore marks
Team Heal, Battle Meditation, Protect and Absorbholding any ally mark makes help allies-only. With none, marked enemies are excluded. Protect and Absorb use this for their rank 4 and 5 fields

For Push and Pull 4 or 5, holding enemy marks makes the sweep enemies-only.

With only ally marks, it spares those allies.

With no marks, it hits everyone it normally could.

Things to note

  • Marks belong to you. They do not change anyone else's marks or put a player on a team.
  • Mind Trick can affect an ally. Its aimed-mark choice accepts either designation.
  • Marks have no countdown. They clear when you remove them, the target dies, you respawn or the map changes.

Prefer the console?

The console is Jedi Academy's built-in command line. Press the ~ key to open it.

Aim at the target, then set a designation. With no argument, the command cycles just like the radial:

List the marks you hold:

Clear them all, or add a name after clear to remove just that target:

For example, /forcemark clear Brax Tilla removes Brax's mark without needing to aim at him.
