Drop an XP pickup
Leave XP standing in the world for players to collect.
In the menus: ESC → About → XP → BOXES
Filling in the form
- Amount - XP paid the moment a player walks in.
- Reason - required, and recorded in the award ledger against every payout the box makes.
- Pending - XP held back as a claim instead of paid. See pending XP back.
- Reason (the second) - what the held-back half is waiting on.
- Uses - payouts allowed per player, counted per account, so a second character cannot re-walk the same box.
Placing it in the world
Select PLACE IN WORLD. The menus close and you get the placement mode, with an orange wireframe box on your crosshair.
Press TAB to choose XP, Pending or Uses, then use the wheel to change it. X swaps between the crosshair and your feet. MOUSE1 places a box and stays in the mode so you can place another. MOUSE2 returns to the panel.
The server can hold eight boxes at once. Remove one before placing another when all eight are live.
Who a box pays
- Not the placer.
- Payment fires on the frame you enter. Standing in it changes nothing.
- A box remembers up to 64 accounts and then stops paying anyone new.
- Where a server gates awards by character rank, the box carries the rank of the person who placed it. e.g Knights can't walk through other Knights XP boxes.
Removing a box
Select a row and REMOVE, or REMOVE ALL to clear every box on the server.
The list is not filtered to your own, so everybody working on the map can see what is live.
A box also removes itself when you walk 500 units from it, log out or disconnect, and every box clears on a map change.
Things to note
- A mentored player walks through the box and the award diverts to their mentor's queue.
Prefer the console?
The console form places the box at your feet.
Split the amount to hold part of it back as a pending claim instead of paying it in full:
