Create and manage accounts
In the menus: ESC → About → Community Admin
On a server that has set its own name, that first button carries the community's name instead of About.
Finding an account
The tabs drive both halves of the screen. ACCOUNTS puts the account roster on the left and the account verbs on the right, CHARACTERS swaps both for the character record.
- Pick a group from Show::
- Members
- Guests
- Former
- Disabled
- Admins.
- Read the NAME, MEMBER and ADMIN columns, ordered by last login.
- Select a row. The line at the top right then reads the account and its standing, such as
eckla - member / clerical. - Page with < PREV and NEXT >.
Creating an account
- Select NEW ACCOUNT.
- Type a Username:. 4 to 10 characters, letters and numbers only.
- Type a Password:. Four to sixteen characters, letters and numbers only.
- Select CREATE.
On a stock server, a new account starts as a guest, so the usual next step is INITIATE. A server admin can
change that starting membership with sf_membershiponcreation.
Changing an account's membership
Three buttons under MEMBERSHIP, each moving an account one specific way:
- INITIATE takes a guest to member
- RETIRE takes a member to former member, who can still join and chat
- REINSTATE takes a former member back to member
Promoting and demoting an admin
PROMOTE and DEMOTE move the selected account one step along the ladder: none, community, clerical, leadership.
What you can grant depends on what you are. Leadership can grant any rank. Everyone else tops out at community, so a clerical admin can only make and unmake community admins and cannot touch an account that already outranks that.

A unique partial name works with /comadmin show. If several accounts match, /comadmin find <name> [page] lists them.
