Edit a character's record
Change any part of another member's character record. For the shared pool characters, see fill in a community character's record.
Clerical admins have these record permissions under the shipped settings.
Languages sit on their own permission, and a server admin can assign either separately.
In the menus: ESC → About → Community Admin → CHARACTERS
Finding a character
Pick the account on the ACCOUNTS tab first, then switch to CHARACTERS, which lists that account's characters and swaps the rail with them.
The columns are NAME, STATUS, FACTION, RANK and MENTOR, the last naming whoever must approve that character's XP.
Click a row to select it.
Community characters are refused here and have their own screens.
Setting status, faction and character rank
SET STATUS, SET FACTION and SET RANK each open the same designation popup, titled for the field you picked.
Select one of the eight buttons to apply it, or CLEAR (unset) to take it off.
Character rank counts downwards, and it is not admin rank.
Rank 1 is the highest, and it gates rank-locked doors and spawn points.
Editing the record
LISTED NAME, CHARACTER TYPE, FORCE SENSITIVE, LIFE STATUS and MENTOR all open the same CHARACTER RECORD popup, which carries all five bands at once.
- LISTED NAME is the stable identifier, which a display-name change never rewrites.
- CHARACTER TYPE is MAIN, FORMER MAIN or SUPPORTING. Setting a new Main changes the account's previous Main to Former Main.
- FORCE SENSITIVE is GRANT or REVOKE.
- LIFE STATUS is ALIVE or DECEASED. A player can record their own character as deceased and cannot reverse it, so ALIVE here is the only way back.
- MENTOR takes another character's id, and is filled in from the row you selected. CLEAR removes them.
The mentor must belong to somebody else's account, Assign and change a mentor covers reassignment, graduation and pending claims.
Correcting species, homeworld, pronouns and hearing
IDENTITY opens the five fields the creation wizard set and the player can no longer change, one SET per row:
- Pronouns:,
- Species:,
- Homeworld:,
- a Species Hearing: list running Bad to Excellent
- an AQUATIC band.
Set your identity and status is the player's half of the same data.
Granting and taking languages
LANGUAGES opens on a KNOWN band that prints to the console.
Type a language into Language: as players see it written, such as Huttese or Mando'a, then GRANT or TAKE. Basic can never be taken away.
Setting a spawn loadout
LOADOUT opens a grid of 23 item buttons. Each toggles into the loadout set. CLEAR empties the set, and APPLY replaces the character's whole loadout with whatever is on that line at the time.
Prefer the console?
Every verb takes either a character id or an online player.
Leave the value off and it reports the current setting instead of changing it.
0 clears the designation. With no character named, the command lists your server's labels for that
field.
/comadmin loadout with nothing after it prints every token it accepts.
/comadmin listedname, /comadmin identity, /comadmin forcesensitive and /comadmin alive cover the rest of the rail.
