Award XP

Give XP to a player, choose what it is worth, and check what has already been given.

You need a logged-in member account. No admin rank, unless your server admin has set sf_onlycomadmingivexp, which raises the whole /xp command to community admin.

In the menus: ESC → About → XP

On a server that has set its own name, that first button carries the community's name instead of About.

Awarding XP to one player

  1. Select the player's row.
  2. Set Amount. It opens on the server's default grant.
  3. Type a Reason. Required, and stored.
  4. Select AWARD.

The recipient gets their own line, and a level-up line if the award crosses a threshold. Check your XP and level covers what they see.

Reading the roster

  • PLAYER is the connected player's name. * means they are already in your marked cast, - means a member who is not connected.

Award a whole group at once covers marking.

  • CHARACTER is the character the XP lands on.

  • PAYS reads yes where the award lands immediately, or pends where it routes to the character's mentor. An award from the mentor's owner lands immediately.

  • SEARCH narrows the list and pulls in members who are not connected.

Choosing the amount

Amount opens on sf_defaultxpgrant, which ships at 2. The per-award ceiling is sf_maxxpgrant, shipped at 100, and it applies to every route XP can travel:

A negative amount takes XP away, and that is how corrections are made. Nothing is undone, a second award runs in the other direction, and the recipient hears about it the same way.

A server admin can also set sf_minrankgrantxp to require a minimum main-character rank, or turn on sf_rankedbasedxpgrants so your main must outrank the receiving character. Both ship off. Leadership admins bypass both checks.

Reading the award log

Every award ever made is readable by anyone with /xp access, reason included. The same member or optional community-admin gate applies to the log, pending claims and approvals.
