Using an sfpk3 for your model

An .sfpk3 is a StoryForce asset pack made from an ordinary .pk3.

sfpk3 adds encryption and obfuscation to help prevent unauthorised access to your assets.

Updated clients support an extra obfuscation layer for models, animations and shaders inside the pack.

These protections are not a guarantee. StoryForce is not responsible for leaks, extraction or unauthorised sharing of your files.

There is no in-game converter. Keep your original PK3 safe.

Convert your pack

The /sfpk3 command belongs to the official StoryForce Discord server.

  1. Run /sfpk3 in the official StoryForce Discord server.
  2. Choose file and attach the original, unencrypted .pk3.
  3. Save the returned .sfpk3.

Install the sfpk3

  1. Put the .sfpk3 in GameData/Base.

Everyone who must see the character needs the same archive.

If a valid pack reports "wrong sfpk3 password", update StoryForce and try again. Older builds could reject valid packs.

Do not replace your archived source PK3 with the converted copy. sfpk3s cannot be unpacked to restore your file.
