Set your identity and status

Your display name, status, scale and spoken language all sit on the Current screen.

Guests can rename their character, change its model and choose a known language. Their Status and Scale stay at the values set during creation.

ESC → Character → Current

Change your display name

  1. Select the pencil at the top right, captioned Edit Display Name.
  2. Enter the new name into Display name:. Up to 36 characters, colour codes allowed.
  3. Select APPLY.

The new name reaches the world when you close the ESC menu.

Set a status

Select the Status: row on the STATE rail, then pick from the SET STATUS popup. Your server admin writes the list, so it runs to 8 entries at most. None clears it.

Set your scale

Select the Scale: row on the STATE rail, move the slider, then select SET. It moves in steps of 1, inside the range your server sets. A shipped server runs 60 to 150.

Surface offset:, on the same popup, is the vertical drop applied when your character sits down. Enter 0 to 100, then select the SET beside it. It starts at 16.

Choose the language you speak

Select the Speaking: row on the LANGUAGES rail, then pick from the SPEAK popup. Only languages your character already knows appear.

The WALK STYLE rail below it opens the walk style picker.

Things to note

  • Your record name never changes. It runs across the top of the screen, and only the display name moves.
  • Only staff set the rest of the IDENTITY rail. Rank, faction, species, homeworld, pronouns, hearing and Force sensitivity all need a community admin, and Type comes from the Manage screen.

Prefer the console?

/character set <field> <value> covers most of this screen. Use /name <name> for the display name, which prints nothing. Sabers belong to build your sabers.

0 clears the status. 1 to 8 are your server's labels in the order the SET STATUS popup lists them.

/character set surfaceoffset <0-100> takes the same shape.
