Register an account

ESC → JOIN → Register

1. Enter the account name you want into Username.
2. Enter a password into Password, then again into Confirm.
3. Select REGISTER.

Usernames run 4 to 10 characters and passwords 4 to 16, letters and numbers only.

Usernames are case insensitive. iffo and Iffo identify the same account when registering or logging in.

Use a password you use nowhere else.

Registering signs you in as a guest. Only an admin can raise you to member.

The server sets separate delays for failed registration attempts and repeated signups from the same IP.

Log in

ESC → JOIN → Login

The login panel normally opens by itself when you connect while logged out.

Use the menu route above to reopen it.

Set sf_loginmenu to 0 to stop it opening automatically.

1. Enter your Username and Password.
2. Select LOGIN.
3. Press ESC.

• Tick Remember this account before LOGIN and both fields arrive filled in next time on that server.

• Tick Automatic Login on the account screen to skip the screen altogether.

Saved details live in login.cfg as plain text.

By default, each wrong password holds the next attempt back 3 seconds, and longer after the third miss. The server can change that delay.
