Play a community character

Verified

Take one of the server's shared characters for a scene, then go back to your own.

Members always have access. The server can also let guests or former members use the pool.

No COMMUNITY tab means you have no access.

Take a community character

ESC → Character → Manage → COMMUNITY

  1. Select a row, written as the character id then the name.
  2. Select SELECT.

Select REFRESH LIST to re-pull the pool while staff are adding to it.

Get your own character back

Select MY CHARACTERS, highlight your row, then SELECT. Logging out drops the character too.

Limits

  • The shared record is protected. Skills, Force powers, languages, gear fields, FYI and POIs refuse.
  • Model changes are temporary. You can change the live model, but the pool record stays as it was.
  • A community character cannot be your login default.

Prefer the console?

/character select <id> takes a pool id as readily as one of your own.
