Hold a single shot or cycle a track

Instead of flying a track, park the room on one of its waypoints, or cut around them like CCTV.

In the menus: ESC → Design → Camera → the 3. PLAYBACK band

Holding a single waypoint

Pick the waypoint in the small combo beside the buttons, then press SINGLE SHOT (HOLD).

Cycling a whole track

CYCLE TRACK holds each waypoint in turn, cutting between them, until you stop it. It needs at least two waypoints.

Duration means something different here. On CYCLE TRACK it is the hold on each waypoint, so a four-waypoint track at Duration 10 takes forty seconds to go round once.

Holding a shot from a trigger box

Draw and select a trigger box, then use its 3. BINDINGS band.

Choose Cam, choose WP for a held waypoint, then press one of these:

  • STILL binds a waypoint. Anyone who walks in glides to that shot, holds while they are inside, and glides back out. This is the one held shot that moves rather than cuts.
  • TRACK binds the whole track as a flight, played once per person per visit, always eased. It uses that track's stored Duration and never freezes anyone. WP does not affect it. A moving-subject binding follows the track into this flight.

To remove the camera binding, choose Cam: None and press either STILL or TRACK.

/camera still always names its track:

/camera cycle falls back to your active track, and to five seconds a shot. It clamps the hold between 1 and 600 seconds.

/camera stop releases either of them.
