Shelter a room from the weather
A shelter is a box you draw in the world.
Rain, snow and sand fall around it and never inside it, so an interior stays dry without a solid roof.
In the menus: ESC → Direct → Scene → WEATHER → SHELTERS
Draw a shelter
Select ADD SHELTER. The mode turns no-clip on and switches the shelter overlay on for you, and hands both back on the way out.
Three things differ from the shared placement mode:
- a volume takes 2 presses. The first MOUSE1 anchors a corner, the second sets the opposite corner and sends the shelter
- you fly. Press X to walk a shelter out instead
- R takes back a corner first, then a shelter. With a corner anchored it drops the corner, otherwise it removes the last shelter you drew
TAB moves between Height and Grid. Height is the least the box is extruded to, 0 to 2,048 units in steps of 16, starting at 256.
Mark a place where weather always falls
MARK OUTSIDE draws the opposite box, so a courtyard that reads as covered gets soaked. Same 2 presses, same 2 dials.
Change and remove
The list carries every shelter, each row reading its id and its size as #7 1024 x 512 x 256.
Select a row, then:
- REMOVE ZONE takes that shelter away
- REDRAW puts you back in the drawing mode to set the 2 corners again
- CLEAR ZONES takes every shelter away at once, with no confirmation

Add open on the end for the MARK OUTSIDE kind.
/edit <id> zone <x1> <y1> <z1> <x2> <y2> <z2> is what REDRAW commits through. /remove <id>
takes one shelter away, and /remove weatherzones confirm the lot.
That listing is the only place the exact corners are written down.
